New is generous, a lot of these were employees that had worked for the federal government for years that recently took promotions. Those promotions were "new" appointments even though they've worked for years.
Plus the admin is planning Reductions in Force so many of these workers will unfortunately be fired again.
Except this is written law, it's pretty clear in the constitution. If the state refuses to respect our inalienable rights then the citizens are left with few options on how to respond
