I went to PB a lot more after gov went after it so it had an endless supply of mirrors and proxies. But I'm just the guy that will absolutely break into the Forbidden Knowledge section of the library.

I'll be the crazy one and say Star Trek Voyager. Lots of insane moments and more creative freedom in the Delta Quadrant. You don't have to learn decades of lore. Janeway is the craziest captain you will have with the exception of Marriner.
