Had to look this one up, Trump did issue an apology about grabbing women by the pussy, but it was probably not sincere, and only done to better himself than actually have remorse for his actions.

Did uptobox provide seed boxes for torrenting, or what was the service like?

FWIW this isn't always true. A few months ago, I needed to add an email to my Zelle account on Chase, and had to call them. I initiated the call and they did issue a text message verification to the phone number in my account while on the phone to confirm.

Are people trying to reclaim Pepe? I watched the documentary and feel for the original artist, but the character is ruined in my mind with too much baggage.

The issue isn't really people on the fence for Trump or Harris but mainly with generating turnout. After Biden's poor debate performance, people didn't change their mind and decide to vote for Trump, they became apathetic and maybe wouldn't show up to vote.

Harris doesn't need to persuade people to abandon Trump, she needs to get people excited to show up to vote.

How'd they forget about City Limits?

One of Vance's former friends detailed the downfall of their friendship as Vance rose in politics. Despite their differences they were still friendly until 2021. Full article : https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/27/us/politics/jd-vance-friend-transgender.html

During their last text exchange that was outlined in the article, they had this to say:

“I know I can’t change your mind but the political voice you have become seems so far from the man I got to know in law school,” wrote Nelson, later explaining their position “as a trans person who accessed needed health care so I could live a full life.”

It does seem like Vance did 180 from someone equating Trump to Hitler to Trump's running mate in just a few years.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I'd say the mystery of the dead bear cub in central park 10 years ago. This was minor news back then and basically was forgotten about, until RFK Jr. (former third party presidential candidate) admitted to being the person behind it, confessing it to a confused Roseanne Barr.

I didn't realize this was the season finale before watching and was mostly confused that was it after tonight's episode. Seems like they started more loose ends in that one episode, maybe in hope of another season, but it felt like it could have used an episode or two more to set that up better. Spoilers below:

The Acolyte - Episode 8 Season Finale Discussion Spoilers

  • I kept expecting the Green Jedi woman to ultimately be behind the destruction of the witches fortress. It still doesn't make sense that the stone structure could sustain so much damage from some paper burning. Maybe bad editing or something in the previous episodes, but seems like there's still a side of a story being withheld.
  • Reveal of Yoda (or yaddle before growing hair!) and who I assume is Plagueis was underwhelming. Either could have been omitted without issue. If they were going for fan service, focus on one. If it is Plagueis, does the timeline even make sense??
  • Honestly, I wish there were more episodes with the Lesbian Witch Cult which weren't all flashbacks. That conflict with the Jedi was interesting (for the two days it happened in universe) and could have explored more of that side of the force before it was killed off. I guess I'm in the minority based on the backlash that received.
  • Kung fu and lightsaber battles were pretty good. Is this the first time in live action a jedi has turned off a lightsaber mid fight? I think out of everything, the choreography was the strongest aspect of the series.

What'd everyone else think?
