I also mostly played slightly older games on not quite cutting edge hardware, but since upgrading to something half modern there are a few games that really impress with their graphics. Cyberpunk 2077 springs to mind. It's the near photo realism of the environments that impresses mostly. The depth and detail in a scene must be really demanding, but damn if it doesn't look really nice. I think we're now at a point where it's going to be only the bigger developers who can really make the most of the hardware as designing the worlds can be so unique, detailed and time consuming to make. Smaller developers aren't going to have the time or budget to build such detailed worlds that will push top hardware (assuming equally well optimized code)

If you're not a world leading cryptographer and security expert then you vouching for something isn't worth much. It's just repeating others opinions without having done the work to verify these tools are as good as they claim. Any or all of these could have issues and weaknesses that you don't know about.

I think you want to be searching for 4u rackmount server cases like these https://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/cases/4u-rackmount-server-cases

It sucks. I've never used Manjaro

If you've never used it then it doesn't suck half as much as your opinion.

I used to use it on my laptop and found it to be stable and solid. I never encountered any of the theoretical issues people brandish about. The GUI app store was really good (pamac) and frankly if it was included with EndeavourOS it would be perfect and I could recommend EOS to anyone; without the GUI app store EOS really are intentionally limiting how popular they could be. The default wallpapers were a little bland.

I switched to endeavour as when wanting to move away from Ubuntu on my desktop Manjaro didn't like my multi monitor setup (and nor did anything else I tried other than EndeavourOS and Ubuntu). If that had worked I might still be using it now.

Everything google touches turns to shit. Unfortunately they have ideas about owning the web and I cannot tell them to fuck off hard enough

Not what you asked, but I've been very happy with my TPLink EAP WAP. You dont need to use a cloud account with it if you dont want to. Nice management interface that's doing it's best UniFi impression.

I've been using Thunderbird almost 20 years. It's about to start having a makeover, so that could be interesting.

I run a few services that require ports to be open. Everything that can go behind a reverse proxy does so. But there's some that can't and that's OK.
