Unfortunately legality is only a thing if there is someone able to enforce it and it seems like no one in this country is able to enforce it since congress is refusing to rein him in and the Supreme Court is in his pocket.

“When the war is over, gas will fall down at levels that you’ve never seen before,”

So he’s still calling it a war and it’s gone on for longer than 60 days. Congress is absolutely useless and has ceded their power to him by not reining him in. This has only taught him that he can declare war on any country, push it past the 60 day limit and congress wont do shit about it. I really thought that the checks and balances in this country were more than just theater that relied on people in power to not blatantly break the rules.

When there’s eventually a deal with Iran, it’s not going to be as good as the one we already had with them but he’s going to say it’s the best deal ever and his base won’t know any better. It’s such a stupid time we live in.

They also can never find their signals and are by far the most aggressive drivers on the road.

Definitely from the company’s perspective, but I have a hard time believing that the workers are expensive from a perspective of what they should be making if wages kept pace with inflation and skills for the last six decades or so.

Unless their employees can take vacations whenever they want with no pushback about coverage and they’re not forcing them to work late nights and weekends, they’re not overstaffed. I don’t think there’s a tech company in this country that hasn’t squeezed every bit of their employees’ schedules that they can without major pushback. We should be working fewer hours, not overtime and until that happens, we’re absolutely not overstaffed.

Yeah, I don’t feel bad for comey getting bit, he should have known what Trump was about long before he decided to try to swing the election in 2016. I don’t know how anyone could have trusted Trump even back then before this last decade.

Granted, this is a leopardsatemyface trial, but it’s still important because it’s a high-profile indication of trump’s DOJ weaponization against his enemies.

Haha I think I zoned out midway through the quote from him. So trump raised something like $300 million according to him previously and that’s only going to go to place settings.

Yeah, but where’s the money that he raised for the ballroom? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised if he just pocketed it and that our political donation system is not regulated and like everything else, just relies on winks and handshakes, but his grift has to hit some legal wall at some point, right? …right?

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 55 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Where’d all the money go that he raised already? It’s great that these assholes can cut everything else, saying “we don’t have the money,” but find infinite funds when their king wants something.

I had to renew mine this year and the first thing I did when I got it was to check for bullshit like this.
