It's run by private companies, they'll sell your location, face, habits, what you do and like in real life in addition to your online profile. Then they can do whatever they want. Sell you things, manipulate what you think

A similar solution would be using matrix with a WhatsApp bridge and setup an automated response there (I don't think there's a bridge with that feature yet, but it could be easy to setup on the server)
I do it but in Paris there are way too many things to add, so it feels too much most of the time
Grayjay on Android. It's open-source and it doesn't cost a lot (you can download for free but they expect you to pay at some point). Louis Rossman works for FUTO which makes Grayjay (and other cool apps)
