Cool, yeah, I'll definitely check that out. Still trying to learn more about this community. But like I said before. I'm like really open to like doing 3 months here, Three months there, but also trying to find like some daycare solution ever if that make sense.

I'm looking to travel with my family of four this year.

Kids are 2 and 4 years old.

We thought about long-terms stays but still open to it, but ideally looking to hop around 3-6 months.

Also, how are other families doing daycare/childcare options?

Not very interested but maybe open to worldschooling or travel village.

Wanted to add: The Medici only spent $500 billion to fund the Italian Renaissance. What are these billionaires doing? Space, cars, and software are cool, but I just feel that the money and power certain people have can be used much better.

Where is the next "it" place?

Where and when is the next renaissance happening?

I feel that there is no vision, no real mission. Instead, everyone has relied on trending things to do that haven't amounted to anything i.e., crypto, web3, AI, etc. Silicon Valley and other creative hubs are too focused on making money and getting people hooked on apps. Indie hackers are all making the same stuff, copying each other. Music isn't real anymore, just gimmicks.

No one is making anything real, no philosophy.

Which city is making it happen?

Think:

"The term Renaissance has also been used to define periods outside of the 15th and 16th centuries. Charles H. Haskins (1870–1937), for example, made a case for a Renaissance of the 12th century.[143] Other historians have argued for a Carolingian Renaissance in the 8th and 9th centuries, Ottonian Renaissance in the 10th century and for the Timurid Renaissance of the 14th century. The Islamic Golden Age has been also sometimes termed with the Islamic Renaissance.[144] The Macedonian Renaissance is a term used for a period in the Roman Empire in the 9th-11th centuries CE.

Other periods of cultural rebirth have also been termed "renaissances", such as the Bengal Renaissance, Tamil Renaissance, Nepal Bhasa renaissance, al-Nahda or the Harlem Renaissance. The term can also be used in cinema. In animation, the Disney Renaissance is a period that spanned the years from 1989 to 1999 which saw the studio return to the level of quality not witnessed since their Golden Age of Animation. The San Francisco Renaissance was a vibrant period of exploratory poetry and fiction writing in that city in the mid-20th century"

The inefficiency I can't tolerate, either. I'm waiting on line since 5 am for a driver's license, but I can't do it. Lol.

Yeah, I get that. I feel that if all of us came back, we could whip Ecuador or Latin America into shape. But it's too corrupted and too comfortable for the elites to change this way of doing things.

Yeah especially with a family.

That's so interesting you say that. I've gotten asked for bribes because they heard me speak English in Mexico at a J Balvin concert. Everyone was drinking outside the stadium.

I'm really curious to hear everyone's experience and thoughts about this.

I am considering moving to my family's home country, Ecuador. I've been there every summer and I'm very comfortable and familiar with it. I've been there with family and i've traveled by myself and I have tons of family there. Also lived in Mexico for many years as a digital nomad.

But I wanted to hear about your experience living in your family’s country of origin and how did it feel? Also might move with my family, too.

Also asking for input about living in Ecuador as an Ecuadorian-American.

Thanks.
