Lately I've just been playing FTL & Stardew Valley on an old Linux machine.
I intend on playing New Vegas soon, with the intention of finishing it before Fallout Season 2.

Any platform that believes it should be their choice whether the user can opt-in to any part of the fediverse, is a big no from me.
I just had to change my domain name because Google wouldn't stop blocking my personal server webpage for being a "phishing" website, there was no way it could be interpreted in that way at all and it didn't matter, my personal server apps were basically blocked on 80% of browsers.

So long as it doesn't outright block us from doing what we choose to on our PC's, there should be a recommended settings minimum that differs from the minimum.
Knowing that instances only pull posts/comments that occur after the first subscription, it will become less and less viable to choose a small instance if Lemmy doesn't add the option of adjustable pull settings.
Relay is my top preference.
Unfortunately I don't think this runs on Linux anymore.
