I still don't have any clue about what part of my comment you object against, or why you're so fucking negative about it.

All I'm saying is that the right turn accident was completely preventable by making a simple painted line on the tarmac, as it is done in many places where there isn't room for the kind of huge separated bike lanes as shown in your photo.

I'm not sure I get what you're saying, or what I'm missing.

I'm talking about the most basic kind of bike lane, which by all means is just a line on the tarmac. It does however ensure that the bike has a place to be, and that the bike will be visible to the cars, because the bike lane's stopping line is further ahead than that of the cars. I also don't know the exact situation from the article, but if the bike had been at the stopping line in this bike lane, it would never conflict with a right turning ambulance.

That's a funny childish fantasy and all, but you really shouldn't attempt potential murder over a fucking parking. You know damn well that idiots like this don't check their tires before heading out on the road, so they're going to endanger themselves and others because you tried to make a point or something?

Just leave a note if you want to send a message to them. They're going to be mad about the note, dismiss it and excuse themselves, but... they'll still have to think about it, which is a better result than any potential outcome of secretly destroying their tires, which from their point of view will be completely unrelated to their previous parking.

A bike lane would've helped. If there wasn't one, I can see a good reason for whatever the fuck really happened here.

If there had been a bike lane, he could/would have stayed there behind the stopping line acknowledging the right of the ambulance to go first, but without one...I can see someone in panic trying to get out of the way and then getting run over regardless of where he was positioned.

If only there had been a good ambulance with a gun.

I'm thinking worldwide. George Bush paved the way for a lot of populistic right wing politicians in other countries, showing that reckless incompetence is fine as long as you put on a suit and pretend to know something about economy.

He then dragged the entire ensemble of headnodding clowns into a war in Iraq on a false premise. Yes, Saddam was an asshole and needed to go, but he did not have chemical weapons. The entire war was about taking full control of oil, that Bush's croonies had planned long beforehand.

Then there was a little financial crisis called "the great recession" in 2007 and onwards, and of course history has a tendency to point backwards, but I think it's fair to say that the complete lack of oversight of the financial institutions was the main cause. The cause of this crisis was G. Bush Junior and all the other conservative government leaders in suits claiming to be "fiscally responsible". If only they had been "financially conservative" that would've better, but they didn't even attempt. It was pretty much as irresponsible as it gets.

I don't think Trump or the USA as a whole can litteraly destroy the environment, because they're not that many, 300k people of 8 billion worldwide, and I also don't think Trump will initiate any wars directly, but they'll do nothing to stop the existing wars, and we will see a worldwide financial crisis as soon as the next budget doesn't get approved or earlier.

This election has the same dreadful feeling as 2000.

Nevermind the crazyness, it's the certainty that something worldwide bad is going to happen due to the incompetence of the American government.

About a week maximum.

The taste changes over time, so I prefer using them in 1-2 days.

It's detachable in my fridge.

I use the egg holder on the door shelf for small bottles that would otherwise fall over when the door is opened. Medicine or nail polish, that sort of thing.

I also the egg holder to .. hold the eggs .. after they're boiled, so I can fill the egg cooker instead of boiling just a few at a time. I use cold boiled eggs for sandwiches or salats.

I do not use it for holding raw eggs as those already come in an egg shaped carton.

Maybe Biden could pack the Supreme Court before leaving office.

It wouldn't be a great idea in the long run, but it'd potentially stop the entire system from functioning right now.

He has never wanted to do the job as president. Not last time, not this time.

The actual story is that the bank will stop accepting or exchanging damaged bills.

Lemmy's årlige "place" er begyndt, hvis I har lyst til at deltage. Jeg har dårligt tid i år, men et par pixels skal der nok blive tid til. Reglerne er vist ligesom sidste år.
