Oh no! He's very rambling and hard to follow, but entertaining.

I got my dialectics from Marx - like the manuscripts of 1844 - but their might be a better or more philosophical introduction.

Less than Nothing, by Zizek. Very Hegel.

I saw the same watery patch too!

Thanks. Very helpful.

But still to.be honest, Marx always feels 100% solid to me when explaining capitalism, but on much less solid ground when predicting the future.

I'm currently reading Zizek's "Less than nothing" and he criticizes Marx for not being Hegelian enough. Resetting my thermostat now

I'll tell you what's at the bottom of it. If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

Lyndon B. Johnson

I kind of assume Carney is part of the new liberal establishment (think Clinton, Biden but also Bush) so recently overthrown by Trumpism in the US - but I'm not Canadian so it's a little fuzzy.

For someone used to desktop Linux, where respect for the user, consistency, customisability, and performance are still held in high regard, Windows 11 feels like an endless string of punches in the face.

To be fair, giraffes are stupid sexy. 🦒
