Yeah this meme is me but getting into the shower.
Problem is the pendulum did swing back but it swung to the "left" aka to neolibs. Now it's been broken and swung so far to the right that I hope it responds in kind next time around and we get actual progressives in office.
I'm playing on Switch so no mods for me yet, although I very well may buy it on Steam as well! In fact I think it's on sale right now.
