Where are you seeing this?

The article claims that she has total stock market index funds in her retirement account and not individual oil and gas shares…

They even link the full financial disclosure that reveals as much: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/un8w34x8anzochjjik2dw/2024-Stein-PFD.pdf?rlkey=no0vsygaof1096tgm3843kwup&st=10vwoc8x&dl=0

This is literally insulting to anyone with any understanding of “investments”:

In January 2024, Stein reported having between $250,001 and $500,000 invested in the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund (VXUS), which invests in TC Energy Corp, owner of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Stein profits from the Keystone XL Pipeline she claims to oppose.

This is a super sketchy way to portray a very normal total market index funds…

When I had my phone delivered it was from a special courier, not the normal post. I had to show ID in order to accept the delivery.

I’m still open to giving the Immich licensing model a chance.

I have a feeling they are going to retroactively shorten the “lifetime” of my license.

Even if they were reading a book, a 10 year old in the cart still sounds a bit silly.

I remember being very active as a kid at the super market running “missions” to get items. One time I dropped a jar of tomato sauce on the floor and I felt so bad about it. Another time I remember college kids making fun of me for pushing the cart (to be fair it probably looked quite ridiculous). Now I look back and laugh…

Immich also has (local) AI for face recognition.

Most people here don't like it when other people are training on your photos.

I just quit my job on Wednesday, felt great!

I like that my colleagues are happy that I am going on holiday rather than feeling betrayed.

Also, insane how sick leave in the US needs a doctor's note immediately and is limited.

I take all Fridays off (4x8), but I only have 27 days PTO because of that rather than 33.

Bean counting?

I recently stumbled upon this articles which nicely illustrates the growing problem.

Demand segregated bike paths!

It was a bit to bumpy for the computer so we brought that with the metro.
