I use f2fs on ssd's and ext4 on hdd's

I don't see the need for snapshots, I backup externally

A fork wouldn't help anything at all, the problem is that nobody is working on the patches not that the devs won't accept them

That would absolutely be worthwhile of interest, one post a day is FAR from spammy

I think eventually these alternatives will eat eachother into oblivion, I think this is simply a growing pain.

You should use communities, instead of tags, on lemmy.

I think peertube is going to be much more difficult, videos require an insane level of compute/bandwidth to distribute.

I think peertube may have it's day eventually, but it won't be for much longer than link aggregators/microblogging

Certainly interesting!

[–] communist@beehaw.org 1 points 1 year ago

I'll need evidence of that.

It's not, this method of analysis is terrible, they're just asking gpt4 to grade the responses, not actually testing anything beyond that.

I think we really need to know what the actual crashrate is before we decide on that.

Even more, we need the crashrate based on different environments, I figure AI does worse than humans in snowy conditions, but in most highway conditions, I bet it can do better, perhaps we could regulate it based on weather conditions if we had such data

I don't know, but I think we need more data before we say anything.

The link does work, it just takes absolutely forever to load, that's probably why they thought it was broken

My concern is abuse of democracy, people could make multiple accounts pretending to be one person and influence decisionmaking that way.

I'm interested, but what would this self-governing entail? How would you stop abuse of the system?
