  • SNES was the ultimate From childhood until the release of Nintendo 64
  • In high school it was a PC with a mouse and keyboard.
  • Now it's a PC with an xbox controller. Using a mouse and keyboard reminds me too much of work.

There is a PS5, a Switch, and a Steamdeck, in the house plus several more devices in the garage. I'll watch other people play but gaming on dedicated hardware just doesn't grab me. I've never tried gaming on a phone.

What is this in rebuttal to? I don't see any claim of being open source on https://grayjay.app/.

Amen! I try to always prepare from dry beans. Canned beans are never as tasty and cost 10 times as much. The InstantPot makes it take under a minute of work and less than a 40 minute wait. If you can plan 40 minutes ahead there is no reason to bust into cans on the regular.

One of the worst parts of traveling is the difficulty of finding my daily helping of beans.

I asked myself this often. I think it's absentmindedness but I still find myself annoyed. Wear it or don't but halfway just gets to me.

The other benefit of having a proper emergency fund is being able to say no to your boss without any fear. It took me 10 years but I have enough accessible funds to go a year easily without any new income. The freedom at work is so nice. I've noticed that my confidence at not needing the job makes them take me way more seriously and offer all kinds of benefits they don't afford everyone.

Such a well thought out and reasonable response. Thank you!

I generally do not agree with the law around intellectual property or even private property so we likely would not see eye to eye but I appreciate the chance to understand where you're coming from and what you believe.

Sure, permission needs to be sought for reprinting. That's not what we are discussing though. I will just take your word on that second part because as far as I know none of my professors asked author permission before telling the class to read anything.

The issue is artists should be able to opt out of having their work taken and fed into a big project they have no control over.

So in your opinion a should University have to ask each authors permission before using their work as a reference for each study run there one by one?

What is the meaning of "making a function" in your sentence?
