My POV: Coding is an incredibly important life skill, gives you so much power of creation and control over what you want to create, makes everything (including various business challenges) easier if you know how to write some basic JavaScript or PHP connection between services, pulling sales data from a SQL table, merging sales data with visitor data in two different SQL tables, etc.

So powerful. I learned how to do it on YouTube when I was really young, like 8. Best life skill I have ever acquired.

Wing Assistant. We tried many, and tried doing it in-house ourselves, but they ended up being the least painful/best most consistently.

Advice for working with them: consider the higher tiers, consider layering on your own incentives to retain the employees better, and if you don't like their first pick - ask for another.

I wake up sometime between 8am and 1pm, usually rushedly for a meeting.

Work till 5pm to 8pm.

Then have some food while watching something on Netflix or YouTube.

Then keep working till 10pm/12am. Rarely, I'll be doing something like coding until 5am.

When my SO is with me, then about 30% of the time, maybe around 5pm we will go to the city, explore, go to events, watch some live performance, have dinner somewhere nice, have drinks.

One man show here since 2019. Though, I stopped being able to handle it in 2021. It was too hard to keep selling and focusing on product and improving our marketing all the time... I eventually broke and started hiring overseas virtual assistants, sales reps, customer support reps, bookkepers, etc. - we have nearly 40 today with this provider that handles finding them/payroll/supervision/etc. Been able to scale my co to ~$20M ARR. It's lonely, it's hard, you often wanna give up, though I finally feel like I'm getting some of my time back.

It's still pretty hard though, because I still have to do a lot of the strategic thinking. Eventually in late 2022, I brought on US-based Head of Sales. So I can't really say I'm doing it by myself anymore.
