I would argue they are safe, in fact they are too safe, so safe that if their program gets confused it will just stop in the middle of an intersection and not move because it's 'not safe'.

Definitely not. I know my 14 year old 4chan dwelling ass would have known about this before 99.99% of the population.

Don't overestimate teenage innocence, this problem is very much in the public sphere I doubt many teens don't know about this technology already.

Yeah that's pretty much the only solid purpose crypto has as of now. But the technology itself is cool.

It isn't, it's a technology. People use that technology to scam.

Same as phone calls aren't scans and email aren't scans but people can use them to scam.

Crypto has a purpose, just one that doesn't apply to many people.
