Even if they never found out, that just doesn’t sit right with me. I simply don’t like to make a habit of lying in any area of my life, especially to someone kind enough to give me a job. It’s about honor and integrity, which is a lost art, sadly.

It was a long wait, but I finally found a job that is fine with me traveling. And I’m glad I can shrug off any paranoia. It was definitely worth it.

Brazil. It’s almost as if friendliness is ingrained into their accent!

… still pretending to be a resident? Just cut the cord.

Huh. Honestly never considered that. Is this something you’ve done, and how is it working out for you. Genuinely curious, thanks!

My parents are expats, so they're not home either. My brother's home, and I love him to death but he's not exactly cooperative.

Are there any ramifications to missing the letter? (I hail from Washington State, if that matters.)

I know it's fair to opt out because of travel, but is it punishable if you don't even send back the letter?

I actually like driving. But right now that I'm DN'ing, I enjoy not having to deal with a car. If I was very wealthy, I wouldn't mind having a trophy car or two back home.
