Ooh damn I haven't played this yet. I wonder if I can get this playing on my Steam deck

Sounds like db0 will be where I migrate to then, TY Blaze!

Ironically, that lemm.ee still federated with .ml, hexbear, and lemmygrad was one of the primary factors for me deciding to move my account there from lemmy.world. I want to be a part of an instance that federates with those communities and then I can just block individual communities and accounts on a case-by-case basis from my account.

I messaged sunaurus a year ago about potentially being a mod, and he told me it'd be difficult and I ended up chickening out. Now I wish I had stepped up also

Some form of Gateway PC that was still running Windows 95 until my grandpa had me update it to 98. My other grandparents then got an early Apple iBook which was pretty awesome at the time as well.

I did when Mac Miller ODed, actually. Another friend of mine had also ODed somewhat recently and I was a huge fan of Mac's music.

I just installed cachyOS last weekend after getting an RTX 5070 Ti and chose the open driver during the installation and everything is working perfectly, including resume from sleep

Geez that was a quick two years

Great vid! I would've greatly appreciated watching this if I were new to Linux. It sounds like my Linux journey has been similar to the person in the video's. I'm satisfied with Arch but am currently dipping my toes in Gentoo and NixOS

This is what I did and I absolutely love the thing! It's so much faster than any other flash drive for file transfers. I think it's a USB 3.1 Gen 2/SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps enclosure

Played through all of Doom 1 (enhanced) for the first time last weekend on my Steam Deck OLED; it was a blast! Now going through Doom 2. I never got to play them as a kid (overbearing parents) and when I tried a few years ago the controls didn't click. The enhanced version "fixed" that for me.

I know the adage "if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid" is a thing, but this might be the exception to the rule

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? When I go to my profile and tap the big middle comments button at the top, it takes me to my posts instead of my comments

“America demanded it and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars,” said O’Brien in the announcement from the Academy."

Hell yeah! Might actually watch this one

Hello all! I wanted to briefly share my experience modding my Steam Deck OLED, should it be of use for anyone else!

Here are the pics

It seems like most replacement button sets are fully compatible with the Steam Deck OLED, except for the triggers/shoulder buttons and replacement trackpad covers. The shells are compatible but I did not want to remove my screen + adhesive to do the front shell, so I just did the back. I did have to trim the silicone piece that the volume buttons connect to to get it to fit.

The gulikit hall effect joysticks that specifically mention Steam Deck OLED compatibility were easy to install and calibrate by running thumbstick_cal in desktop mode, and whether it is just placebo or not, they definitely feel more precise than stock!

I did not do extensive before/after thermal testing, since many people have done that before. I did repaste the APU with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme as well since I had to remove the heatsink to get access to replace the power button

Here are the products I used:

Joysticks
