I think their point is that scaling to the volume of beef production of other countries isn't correct because the methods of production vary widely enough to produce much different results. As in, some countries likely produce more or less CO2/kg of beef so it makes no sense to simply scale the number they got from a single county to global scales.

Not the guy you're replying too though, so I'm not certain.

You could certainly make the argument that reddit / Lemmy and anything similar is social media, but the anonymity means you aren't seeing or competing with people you know.

Idk, maybe I'm just coping, but I've never felt the need to do anything performative for the masses of internet strangers - unlike some friends of mine who studiously document anything fun we do for the ever important task of impressing people on Instagram.

Whenever the negative effects of social media come up, it tends to be about people comparing their "boring" lives with the carefully crafted veneer of other people's lives they see on social media. That doesn't happen (as much) when you don't use your identity and you don't know anybody else on the platform.

Tbh I'm passingly into feet, and I don't even know why

I need them to be manicured, clean, and a particularly pretty set of feet for it to register to me at all. For example, the feet I. The post? Dirty, not attractive. You'd think a guy into get would like the natural state of feet but nah, not for me.

Why are companies allowed to prioritize immediate money over literally everything, but when an employee does it suddenly "work isn't all about money"

We're a long way off from iron man type shit, but yeah this is the path to getting there. It'll probably take decades but hopefully we can iron out the kinks and inconveniences to not so much "solve" problems vs normal screens, but elevate our ease of access and capabilities.

It's ok! Over the years I've learned a lot of tricks to help me deal with them, and notice when they're coming on. They've also slowed down in frequency quite a bit as I age.

I doubt it. Migraine specific pain medicine often has caffeine in it. I get ocular migraines every year or so and goodies or Excedrin migraine (just a blend of nsaids, acetaminophen, and caffeine) do a good job

I went on a deployment, got a nice gaming laptop for that. When I got home back to my desktop, I basically had no need for it so I hooked it up to my living room TV. At first I just played some controller friendly games on it, but now I use it as the entire media center with Stremio and qbittorrent and the likes. I use unified remote to have my phone as the remote.

I've been to shops that'll keep keep nicotine concentrate around mix into the liquid if you want. They can also mix the 0mg variant in to reduce nicotine concentration. It's possible something like that happened.

That's funny, I saw that first comment by toiute in the wild and thought it was really strange. Lemmy seems like such a waste of time as a platform to promote scams. Very low population (relative to other social media) and a mostly tech-savvy crowd.

Good work! Glad to know

I think the main issue with air tag stalking is somebody else slipping their own air tags into your car, purse, backpack, etc to always know where you are
