Robert Jackson Bennett is pretty well loved here. I see him getting mentioned often, should read something from him soon.
How are you liking it so far?
Is Isles of Emberdark better than The Sunlit Man?
Well, makes sense. 144 books are too much to write for one person. Not that there aren't people who haven't written books in such numbers.
Glad to see the quality going back up, would be nice to have a good ending.
I think this was recommended to me before, when I was looking for some books about Necromancers. Now that you are hopefully further in, still enjoying it?
Oooh, nice! Which book is your favourite in the series?
So, did it build into something grander?
there’s plenty of horror that doesn’t have speculative elements.
There's already a word for it. It's called non-fiction. Badum-tss.
I'll take my leave now.
Great work! Love it! Thanks a lot for all the work!
In your profile, select all the languages that you speak, so you will see messages from all those languages.
So, a few things:
- As mentioned by slazer2au, we don't allow self-promotion. It is also in community rules (in sidebar if using web). You can make a general post here with the info about writers, or post to other sites.
- Select language while posting. If you set the language then only people who have selected that language will see the content. Most content is by default "undetermined", which is by default selected by everyone. If you select "Spanish" only people who have that selected in their profile will see your content.
- Don't post too much at once. There is no hard rule about it though.
- Even with all that, some people will still downvote your posts, if you are regularly getting more downvotes than upvotes, then it simply means the community doesn't want to see this kind of content. You can try changing how you post if that happens, or try to engage them by asking how they want it.
Nice, that must have taken real effort. The second hand book stores near here have no proper ordering, so takes ages to find any books. Not sure if the stores your brother go to are any better or not, but I can understand the pain to collect such big series. This is actually why I stopped reading Dresden Files when I originally started, I couldn't find the next book locally, and didn't want to skip any books.
I'll recommend go for new canon books as well. You can always take a break and then continue them later though.
I agree with you about Wheel of Time, it would have been an even better series if it was around 6-8 books.
Also, "ambivalence" is a fun word, it doesn't get used enough.
