I've only seen this discussion on the Framework subreddit. Why is this such a big deal for the buyers of the Framework? I've preordered my 16 and chose the SN850X because it's a solid SSD that's worked great on my desktop, has a great track record, and smooth firmware updates. It was also the only Gen4 when I chose it.

But, this is the first subreddit where I see multiple posts about finding the absolute most powerful efficient and fastest SSD known to man weekly. I really don't understand why it appears that such a large group of people care about this.

I'm a developer and I can totally get carried away in fighting for that last 0.5% of performance in areas where -- practically speaking -- it doesn't matter. Is this just a case of this in regards to NVME selection? If so, cool. But, it just seems like many people are overthinking this.

We have a server with 2TB RAM at my job. It's amazing.
