It's not just about background though. Could also filter the results for genetic markers of medical conditions, something that may differ between individuals.

In Hungary hunters love them. You get money for every boar shot and they make an okay stew.

Damn. We need a decentralized archive and encyclopedia badly.

Klugscheisser. No state should dictate how someone chooses to dress themselves, whether it's a religious garb or not, as long as it doesn't infringe on the safety of others or indecency laws.

I was in your shoes last year, OP.

I first installed Mint (because everyone recommended it as the newbie distro) on a laptop that I took with me on summer vacation, to see if I can do some summer course work and finals on it. It worked flawlessly for that. Then I installed Steam and the paw patrol game for the kids, with controller support, and again everything worked flawlessly.

This basically gave me the confidence to just axe windows on my home desktop and fail horribly over and over again to get Arch working. Until I didn't. I'm still Linux illiterate, but the Arch wiki, their IRC channel and duck.ai & asking every available LLM through it for consensus, helped a ton with resolving anything I have encountered. I'd probably go for something more stable though next time.

So yeah tl;dr try on old laptop first for a month, then switch your main PC.

I've been trying to crack this and it seems impossible. It's a black box. You can dismantle every policy by looking at it from a certain standpoint and trying to apply your subjective logic to it. But when Zionist Israel is on the table, all logic goes out the window.

We can take the presidents one by one:

Obama - change - doesn't change anything about relations and policies with Israel

Biden - staunch defender of Israel. Doesn't matter what they do, he condemns anything and everything bad, but Israel commits genocide and he doesn't even acknowledge it.

Harris - polls showed that she could have gained massive voter support, had she expressed anything in favour of Palestine and acknowledge genocide, but she decided to lose instead for some reason. Proof of what would win her the election wasn't enough. She could have lost the Zionist campaign funding and still come out ahead.

Trump - you'd assume he doesn't care about money because he already has it, doesn't care about power because he's literally the president of the most powerful nation. He's immune to prosecution, so Israel can't even have something as stupid on him as being a serial child rapist, he'd shrug it off. That stupid Gaza beach resort video. Still doesn't make sense from fiscal standpoint. He also breaks tradition and protocol on everything.

There could be better allies in the region, and there have been. But it has to be Israel for some reason, in its current apartheid and genocidal state. My only explanation would be that the Zionist government of Israel and the US government are one and the same on some level, somehow, somewhere.

Let's ask, for example, @ininewcrow@lemmy.ca about how he feels about things, instead of an agitator. He has a lot of stories to tell.

What changed is he just got elected for four more years. The facade of Canada First is irrelevant at this point.

Most of these places, at least in Canada, are strictly operated as not-for-profit establishments, with focus on as little actual litter as possible. So no plastic lids or straws, no packaging. Wooden stir sticks, brown paper bags, etc. Local produce only. While these decompose easily, it's still unsightly, so most of Parcs Canada / SEPAQ doesn't have bins outside either.

I'd be disappointed if this were not the way that things are being done in England.

Discord is not even necessarily Electron. I'm running it as Datcord, which is a Firefox based wrapper.

Discord has a searchble chat history, which is what sets it apart from IRC. Everything else can be emulated by modern IRC clients, such as emoji and embedded / unfurling images and link previews.

However imagine the chat history as if you had a bouncer that has 100% uptime and joined all possible chat channels from their creation, along with offering you search and buffer.

If not IRC, either Matrix or XMPP should be capable of this.

I'm fairly sure Discord's popularity was due to aggressive marketing, likely during their venture capital funding rounds. Something which FOSS does not have.
