It really is nice to have a fresh start. I’ve also tried mastodon recently, and while I like it, the community driven nature of Lemmy is much more appealing to me. If you like the more user-focused nature of Twitter I definitely recommend giving mastodon a try!

There’s nothing that could male go back. I’ve wanted to leave for years but there was never a good replacement. Here’s to a good future for Lemmy!
