Smurf tube from basement/telco closet to attic, run more cable/fiber down the road. 2-4 cat6 per room.

Don’t go too crazy with speakers. I’m running 2 speakers in the ceiling in the living room, hooking it to a Sonos amp which will act as surrounds for an Arc soundbar, the future is soundbars sadly.

10G Ethernet seems to be expensive. What am I missing? in c/homelab@selfhosted.forum

I’m in a Ubiquiti world now. All the 2.5gb switches are more expensive and not many other vendors. SFP switches are more ubiquitous, atleast from Ubiquiti

Couldn't afford the power bill anymore so I adapted and overcame. in c/homelab@selfhosted.forum

I’m only having 1 rack with a consumer class CPU where I’ll be buying micro PCs for the rest
