Can fully understand for phones&tablets, but what about smart TVs or maybe watches? I don't see them needing that much storage with just a few apps installed. Sounds like a waste of resources to me...

Is there a third party YouTube client that supports DeArrow and actually works nowadays? in c/privacy@lemmy.ml

It says here that LibreTube works, and I just checked and can confirm. In its settings, choose SponsorBlock -> Enable DeArrow.

Does such a device exist? in c/android@lemmy.world

First Vimusic, then og Innertune and now Rimusic. My guess is that there's some legal action going on behind the scenes and Google is trying to kill off all those apps. Either way, they all will most likely become useless once Youtube is done rolling out their DRM. Was a short but nice time with them.
