Wannabe capitalist-tier commenting; tfu. Your breath reeks of Oxford polish and your brain is poisoned by vain, childish notions of 'owning' ideas like there's just an infinite supply of those under the sun.

I mean, a search engine is literally the last thing on the internet I'd pay a subscription for. In a world where literally everything else nickels-and-dimes us for subscription service, search engines, torrent trackers, game modders who paywall their mods, and other kitschy non-essentials are literally the first things to get shuffled off the monthly budget.

If we weren't in such a deep recession that I pay as much a week for my gas as I do my groceries, with rent and ACTUAL bills eating the majority of what's left, I'd feel a bit differently; but if wishes were horses, we'd all ride. I literally had to start growing my own green rather than buying it, the economy's so shit.

Christians like this are why I've followed the Morrigan for 15 years

Nah, fuck that. If you're not paying me for the data you're harvesting from me, with or without intent to monetize it, I'm going DEFCON 1, dumping the mag, and emptying the silos. I am not accepting that Zuckerbergian shit out of anybody, I don't care who they claim to be to me or what they claim to do. Too many capitalist pigs try too hard to put their trotters on my data for me to not anymore.

Negl I absolutely did this when I was first getting into it; especially with langs where you actually have to import something to access "higher-level" math functions. All of my review materials have me making arithmetic programs, but none of it goes over a level of like. 9th grade math, tops. (Unless you're fucking with satellites or lab data, but... I don't do that.)

I'm pretty sure that's a breach of style guide in at least three different languages

but probably not C++

"[Google] also dismisses DuckDuckGo’s approach to privacy as one of its failures, claiming that the approach leads to “significant trade-offs to search quality,” by not utilizing data like search sessions, a signed-in experience, and more."

We're out of "realistic responses" that aren't going full Louverture, I fear. Koupe tet, boule kay.

Unfortunately, I can't be. None of my creative tools work on Linux, and the alternatives all have less functionality and/or a steeper learning curve.

I for one look forward to jumping the shit out of landlords and CEOs over the next couple years.

See, I think that's where we disagree-- because I don't see it as an intrinsic codified that far back. If anything, I think that's just part and parcel of being socialized under the dictatorship of capital; where we're literally raised to prioritize competition against our peers, and more importantly, winning that competition. I only see 'power' as the means to the end of accomplishing the objectives we were socialized to chase from birth.

tl;dr change the society, change the socialization, eradicate the common, but not all-encompassing desire for power over another.
