I don’t know what their goal was but if that was it then Nagelsmann was obviously the worst choice you could make. Playing normal and pragmatic football seems too boring for him.

Performances usually don't tend to be so good straight after a national team break, some players only just got fit after injury / illness and then you have to make do with Laimer on RB who always runs around like a headless chicken off position. All things considered I am happy that we win, even if it is far from a flawless game.
Didn't watch the game because I am not gonna be up all night for this, but just looking at the lineup and our apparently once again shoddy defense I am already back to being disillusioned with our national team again.
Why does Germany always have to play these weird and reckless tactics? Why can we not finally play a more pragmatic style of football like everyone else? And why do we couple this with a lineup without a proper striker AGAIN after this has failed every time for last several years under the previous coaches already? Why is Müller playing instead of Füllkrug rather than together with him? What for did we nominate Behrens if we are gonna play without a striker anway?
This is exactly the same bullshit we had to watch all the time under Flick und Löw.
