Of course it's a blow, Trump and his administration are Putin's stooges and complete fucking traitors to their own country! It's right out there in the open and they are getting away with it, all while robbing America blind and fucking shit up for the rest of us. It's as infuriating as it is disgusting.

Same, I'm nearly 50 and I bought a bike last year to do my commute and help get back in shape. I now cycle 100 miles a week and I lost 50lbs last year. I love that when I'm on the bike, my brain quietens down and I stop thinking about everything else, it's meditation and exercise in one.

While I like it as a simile, we didn't feed cows to cows - we fed them sheep infected with scrapie, at least that's the theory of how mad cow disease started. I say "we", I wasn't involved in the process, I just live here.

... and in the meantime, fascist shitbags get to continue being fascist shitbags while the appeals court eventually rules that they're allowed to be fascist shitbags. Rule of law means nothing in the US any more.

Why does the US court system work like this? If a court has ruled this action illegal, why is the bad actor allowed to continue doing it pending a failed appeal? Why is it not the other way around and the illegal action has to immediately stop pending a successful appeal?

The US justice system is a complete joke, designed only to oppress the poor and minorities. The sooner Americans wake up, the better.

Seems like a lot of words to say that they're assholes.

[–] havocpants@lemmy.world 23 points 8 months ago

Yeah, feels a bit too late for that. This isn't going to stop until the non-fascist Americans drag them out into the streets and dispense justice. People are going to die and the good guys are going to need to organise a whole lot first.

it's true, I hear they love it so much that they get up early to beat the crowds

"Basically, I’m not in the position right now to learn a distro and struggle around with all that crap and I need to keep my music shit."

If you don't want to have to learn anything new, then switching your OS to something you don't know how to use is a stupid idea.

Are they appointing the most incompetent people they can as an insult to America? It sure looks that way from the outside. This is kakistocracy.
