If you stop a random person in traffic in Europe for routine control then it's extremely unlikely that they have a gun in their car and even less likely that they will pull it on you.
If you are permanently having to think about scenarios where random people pull a gun on you because it's not a very unlikely situation to happen then it's not unreasonable to expect certain paranoia to start to form...
While the stats for "people killed by police" are always shown around I'd guess that the "police killed by citizens" also is much higher in the US.
Gun control is the only solution that even has a chance to remove this spiralling violence of trigger happy cops imho

I know - but small villages in Bavaria have a better train access because the local Bavarian party controlled the traffic ministry for decades
Also Hannover gets all the east-west connections and a city like Erfurt gets none even though they are on a similar trajectory south of the harz
As someone living in Magdeburg I always envy Hannover for how well connected that city is not just east to west but also north to south
Feels like 90% of the good connections go though that main station while my city doesn't even get ICEs as a state capital...

No - I'm just saying that the delay in WIFI and the low framerate and small resolution of the screen makes the Steamdeck a sub-par choice for fast-paced games for me. It's fine if you are only playing on that device but if you also have a desktop to play at it's far worse imho
For me it's not about fortnite but more about fast-paced multiplayer on the steam deck
When I played Rocket league on the deck instead of my Desktop with Lan, higher resolution and much higher framerate I always felt as if I'm playing much worse than I usually do which is not fun in the slightest
It's a great console for singleplayer and more tactical multiplayer but whenever reading the screen in less than a second and reacting very fast to it in an online game is necessary that's not great...
Ah so it's just really shitty to reach from Hannover/Braunschweig/Wolfsburg/Magdeburg - also it seems that there is no good connection to the whole Ruhr area
