Unless the Internet is lying, I’m pretty sure Darren knew Sinatra.

We just gonna forget about TAS? Season 1 is 16 episodes at 384 minutes. Season 2 is even less with 6 episodes at 144 minutes. That’s just 8 hours, 48 minutes.

You can listen to the full song. It’s on the volume 1 score.

I think this might be a joke for those fluent in Klingon. The song at the end of “We’ll Always Have Tom Paris” is described by Mariner as having lyrics about a dude who eats their own hand. That song is titled “batlh vIpoQ!”. The lyrics have nothing do do with that. Just a dude saying he demands honor over and over.

Okay, but which Defiant are we comparing this to? NCC-1764, NX-74205, or NX-74205?

This sounds like some Brave New World bullshit. Sorry, I recently read Brave New World.

Newspeak would be an attempt to prevent any language that hinted at things deemed “bad”. For example, we couldn’t call this “fascism” with Newspeak because the approved language would remove that word completely. Newspeak isn’t just changing how you say things, but preventing unapproved behavior entirely by saying those things don’t exist.

So we are more worried about the privacy communications instead of how we are bombing Yemen. Great. Fantastic.

How Nurse Alyssa Ogawa Paved an Aspirational Future for Asian American Women

Alyssa Ogawa is a symbol of hope for Star Trek’s promise of a more diverse and inclusive future.

…is this the equivalent of masturbation? Because I have questions about the meeting scene in "Facets" where Quark need’s help convincing.

EDIT: I am so sorry. I am pretty high when I posted that. It should sound coherent now.

Here is me at Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Hilton. This was 1997 (spring or summer). I got to go on The Klingon Encounter (which may have been the only ride-type attraction at the time). The line to enter was lined with status of Borg (First Contact had just come out the previous November).

This is a memory that I hold dear. It made a huge impact on me. Getting to see a recreation of the Enterprise-D bridge, go on a turbolift, use a transporter (just a rotating wall and lights) and the shuttlecraft (think Star Tours) was so awesome. My mom remembers when we were on the transporter pad, having her hand on my chest and feeling my heart rate increase.

The whole attraction was a mix of video featuring TNG cast and live actors.
