It made me sad that she refused to help me out because at the time, in her words: “it’s too much money”. And that was fair, it’s her money and her choice. It could have saved me from a lot of trouble, stress and put me in a much better situation in life, after all the money was to pay for college. What really pissed me off was her real reasoning for not helping me out that came out in the last second.

Not the most but probably one of the last ones. When I decided to move to another country my mother refused to help in any way, even though the money necessary would make no difference in my parents life. Not only that, but she actively sabotaged every effort I made and in my last day she asked me to talk to her. She cried and cried and said: “I fought so hard for you to stay here. Who is gonna take care of me now?”

And that’s how I moved to Canada in February without a winter jacket and had only 20 dollars in my bank account after paying the initial expenses.

By don’t phone home you mean don’t phone YOUR home, right? 😂 I got plenty of their calls last week.

I have an account that has been having that same behaviour for years. I changed my password multiple times after and have 2fa. I was uneasy at the time but realized the best I could do is move on from those accounts as main accounts and just keep them locked tight.

Yes, that’s a fair point. But even with an investment in better wages, training and more education a critical shortage will take at least a couple years to be mitigated, and a couple years doesn’t seem to be a viable option right now.

Sure. Imagine how bad it is being from a poor country and being offered a lot more money, better work and life conditions. Truly awful.

I love mine so much. I got it in a Costco promotion because my last earbuds were so bad I couldn’t take it anymore and just bought it thinking a higher end one would be better. Probably the best non researched purchase I had and didn’t even know they were noice canceling. Such a nice surprise haha it sounds very good to me and the battery life is very impressive!

Funny that I found out about it this morning and at night it was abandoned. Makes it look like it was one of my projects lol
