If you’re a US citizen, this post probably isn’t good for you since you are treated differently.

Imagine you have an address in Argentina or Mexico because you’re a nomad there. You can use that to open a brokerage account at Schwab, which is one of the best largest investment brokers in the world. Once you open it up, you just don’t update the address information there and continue doing business. There are other international large financial firms as alternatives to Schwab. So this way you’d diversify your tax residencies on paper in case businesses change their preferences or global political climate changes. Of course one can try to evade taxes using this idea but I would strongly advise against that.

Do you know if revolut sends cards from US to overseas? Preferably with DHL or something fast?

Int'l card payment cost: 0% to ~1% markup (depending on currency)

Do you know how they take the 1%?

It’s one of the few biggest institutions in the world for large individual investors. It’s like advertising you have money

I’ve been wearing my new shoes for a few weeks now.

I’m taking a break. Feels worse than broken foot now

The joint part of my big toe hurts. It makes me limp. Can’t fully raise my right toe, or squeeze fully. It sometimes hurts a bit like it’s broken. I did not hit it anywhere. It started slowly yesterday. And I walked quite a bit yesterday.

No problem on my left foot.

I’m using new shoes after like 6 years. This shoe (winter boot) puts more pressure on my foot. I’m also walking more than usual.

Ps I’m not asking for medical advice :)

I hate to take a break from traveling because all my bad habits come back when I take a break. It happened last month and it was genuinely horrible.

Climate is pretty much the same with Central Europe in winter I imagine?

People are friendly and warm I heard. But I don’t know if it’s difficult to meet locals? I don’t use dating apps and I’m not into partying. Any tips?

I see lots of good hostels in Bosnia if I want to meet with other travelers. But I’m more interested in meeting locals. I got bored from meeting travelers honestly.

Sarajevo is the place to be I suppose. Any neighborhood recommendations?

Faith and hope are giving me emotional blue balls.

Is this an idea or did you actually try this?

How do I find them on Google maps?

I was fine with 4 wheels in Europe. Will I be fine in places like Bali, Phuket and Bangkok? I know almost nothing about SEA.

Also I sweat like a mofo. Is this a bad time to go there? From December to March

Anything else I should know? Spray for bugs? Type of tourists who go there? (I heard they all want to get shitfaced and fuck?)

Thanks. Do you know any hostels in Europe that fit your description?

Hi I’m looking for social hostels that attract people who drink very little to none. Where should I go for that? Can you share your experience? 🙏

What I love about hostels is that I can meet hundreds of new people per month if I stay in them. I never feel lonely or bored. I meet interesting people. Now my next step is finding hostels that are more right for me so I can make deeper connections

I like getting to know people. Does that count?

You’ve found success in all of those? What kind of success?

Diving timing is son of a bitch I tell you that

I feel like we have some fundamental value differences so when I find someone who’s like me, I get really happy.

How do I find them?

In hostels 99% of people are actively into drinking

I’m familiar with hostels like onefam chain in Europe. But I’m not familiar with SEA at all. Anything I need to know? What’s the demographics of the hostels like? The atmosphere? I work part time.

I noticed some hostels attract people who just want to get drunk or fuck. I’m not into that. I’m more into genuine sober interactions with people who aren’t interested in drinking or sleeping with randoms. I’m a straight guy for context.

I want to go to the most German city in Germany. I’ll take a train or bus from Netherlands tomorrow.

If you know different parts of Germany really well, I’d love to get your opinion about a few other things as well. TIA

It’s so hard to find information about this so I’d really appreciate it if you could let this question get visibility. 🙏

I’m not a us citizen or resident. Hsbc left US for retail so I gotta find a new credit card WITHOUT foreign transaction fees

My investment accounts are in the US so I want to have a US BASED card.

Any suggestions? Maybe fintech companies are offering something I can open remotely? I’d really appreciate your tips.

Extra details: At hsbc, they first closed my checking account when they exited US retail. I kept my credit card. Then they replaced my credit card with a premier one. Then they closed that one too. — I have accounts at some US high street banks but they don’t offer what I need afaik. I applied for a popular travel card over the phone, got rejected. — I don’t have SSN. I was a US resident, but never a tax resident. — banks have my old US address and/or new non-US address on file. — Debit card might work too but credit card feels much safer: I might buy a very expensive flight ticket due to an emergency. I’d be safe from scammers and scammy businesses.

Adding my fico score in case it’s useful. https://i.redd.it/how-does-this-work-v0-d9nl7mhf562c1.jpg?s=5ee22b14bf033f38ca389e6226398e41f8883c0f
