They do require you to use their mobile app and cloud to setup the camera but afterwards you can just run them on an isolated VLAN / firewall them from the internet completely

Do you have any good guides or articles diving deeper on this? I was also pondering Home Assistant - it supports tapo devices, but I don't know much about it. Would that be a possible solution?

and you'll still be able to use all of the camera's features

would this include a live cam feed?

And yet in the original comment you never said it would be a gay love story. You just said gay story.

But let me rephrase that then - would you call a love story between a heterosexual man and a woman a "hetero love story"?

The "gay" in "gay love story" is a secondary classificator - it's a love story of two people who happen to be gay. A "gay story" could be a love story, but could also be a story of someone finding their identity, about their struggles in the world as a gay person etc.

Nowhere in the original comment did they say it is a gay love story.

Full disclosure: I'd probably call it a gay love story before encountering this post. But there is fair point in the title of the post - why do we need to differentiate love stories based on what sexuality are the protagonists? And if we do that, why not do the same if protagonists are heterosexual? Then the classifications you mention would have to go like:

[Insert country] gay love story

A teen hetero story.

A divorce bi story.

The sexuality really should be secundary classificator.

Do you also refer to romantic stories between man and a woman (traditionally referred to as "love stories") as "heterosexual stories"?

While it could be considered a reboot, it's also just a different adaptation. I'd agree with you if this were movies, but TV show is something else.

While I'd prefer it to be something new, I'm looking forward to it just the same.

They could've made the time jump a bit shorter, it would still work I think. What I don't understand though is why they made time for the Strange Dogs story when they knew the series wouldn't continue.... (I want to believe!)

Obviously people will need to be working still, a time when all work is done for us is long way off. Besides, there were studies made on this and most people would still work in some capacity (not all, obviously) - but with you getting money to cover your needs you could quit thenjob you just have for the money and do something you enjoy. Or keep the job you do just for money if lots of money is important to you - but you would be free to take sabatical if you'd start burning out without fear - because you would still have the UBI even if you spent all your money and didn't save any.

Especially now with raise of AI this is something that will be needed sooner rather than later - question is when, not if. And another question is how will humanity fuck it up - because that's what wedo best and the theory behind it sounds too good to be true.

The idea behind universal basic income is that hpu get enough money to cover your basic needs - then you can do a job you like to earn more so that you have more than basic needs fulfilled. So you could still earn money if that's what you so enjoy.

Imaginary [something] was a naming convention for different subredits with art depicting [something].

May have origins elsewhere but I'm personally familiar with it from Reddit
