My father passed away in 2017. He was a contractor and used a super cheap digital watch from walmart. He had certain metal allergies and apparently he found a specific watch that didn't irritate him.
He had six of them in varying states of beat-to-hell. I salvaged one and even though it's also worn and barely able to read the buttons I wear it every weekend to "boy breakfast" with my brother and son to the same local diner we used to go to when he was alive.
