They look like OSM now.

Is RUNE or IGGAMESCOM trustworthy?
Hmmm some of the console commands I was using for troubleshooting listed the enabled codec. But no idea on how to change it from there.
Got the Sony's myself. The recommended ones and some older version, the XM2. Happy with both.
While they mute the noise, they don't make it impossible to discern, IMHO. I have the XM5, and I still hear the traffic, constructions etc. If I'm playign music it's harder to hear, but definitely not if it's just ANC by itself.
Good for testing/shits and giggles. Not for daily driver
The lack of alarms/reminders that you can easily set from the app is the main deal breaker for me. I have individual alarms and reminders for different tasks, multiple in a day and different per day of the week (mi band/gadgetbridge). Pinetime right now only gets a total of ONE alarm, which you can only set by pressing some awkwardly designed UI on the watch. Sadly this is my only deal breaker.
...on OP I did mention that ldac_HQ was already being selected, and stuttering. I wanted to change to aptX instead. So bluez stack is/was installed. But nevermind, I ended up changing the whole audio stack to pipewire. Seems to work much better than pulseaudio, and has more options to individually choose my specific codec, not just the container (sbc/a2dp sink).
You might want to consider your next phone to be a pixel+grapheneOS.
Thanks...where's that advanced settings you mention? I don't seem to be able to find it. On the headset I'm only allowed to choose the audio container, between A2DP sink and HFP, but no specifics regarding LDAC or AptX. https://imgur.com/a/zi6YJZU
I mean, their battery lasts so much...I've never needed to charge them while using them. At some point I might click power without noticing and it will say "battery low"...and then I know after using them this time I'd need to recharge them. But even then, it's not in a hurry, I know I can continue using them comfortably for as long as needed, just this time I need to remember to charge them. Call quality has been improving, and this time they have ANC also for the mics, so your other party gets noise from the street cancelled...this was an issue with my XM2, talking on a noisy street is a no-go, but with these XM5, is now perfectly ok....at least to me in a bustling city full of people and traffic.
