There's been plenty of white women affected by this that they didn't give a shit about either. The racism is just a bonus in this case.

If you don't get concessions, why endorse? They'll take the votes and the corporate money and keep starving the NLRB of resources.

If you don't withhold your vote if you don't get the concessions you need, you're not doing democracy right. Candidates are supposed to compete for your interests, not take your vote for granted while getting donations from big business.

Yeah, a few weeks ago they were supposedly coasting to the nomination. Add to that that only like 7 relatively small states are the only ones that really matter, so you can't really judge based on general vibes.

And election campaigns only last a few weeks as opposed to the seemingly constant campaign in the US.

And parties publish manifestos with their positions on everything, as opposed to what both major parties are currently doing.

Columbine was 25 years ago, those 'kids' are in their 40s now and nothing's changed.

Edit: not saying it was their responsibility to fix it, just that the school shooting stuff has been a reality for a whole generation.

And it's been in the news for almost a year, this article from January mentions it, in the context of the dangers of a next Trump presidency.

It's being mentioned more now because the Democrats decided they should actually do some messaging on this instead of their usual messaging incompetence, and they've been at it for months as well.
