Amending the constitution would take 38 states to get on board IIRC and is not a quick process anyway. The republicans do not control 38 state governments.

I don't think blaming voters is a good idea. There were signals that people would be more likely to vote for Harris if she, for example, agreed to stop sending arms to Israel (more than the voters she'd lose by doing that). The campaign ignored that.. if they tell you what they want and you ignore it that's kinda on you. Trying to rehab the Republican party ("Country over Party") instead of going out there and hammering home her policy, how she would make things better for voters... there were lots of mistakes made.

Also going to pile on a bit about your use of Discord, it is walling off information in a proprietary communication channel. Support tickets should be handled on the web so others can easily tack on if they are experiencing the same issues etc.

I know very little about the operating structure of Google, but I wonder how this would work functionally. Doesn't most of their revenue come from ads? So like you couldn't have google search's ad business help to prop up the lines of business that don't make money (Youtube, chrome development)

Sure, but there are other ActivityPub protocol softwares that have quote replies and moderation, that aren’t Mastodon. I think the challenge is getting the average user to seek out an instance running one of those softwares and not just mastodon dot social.
