That doesn't mean what you think it does. The fact that Harris received fewer votes from independents is because they stayed home (as evidenced by the lower turnout), not because they moved to Trump en masse.

Your conclusion also makes very little sense when you consider that Harris already conceded so much to Republicans compared to 2020, i.e. on migration, campaigning with Cheney and even proposing to appoint Republicans in the cabinet.

Even if you computer is not exposed to the internet: are you certain that every other device on the network is safe (even on public wifi)? Would you immediately raise the alarm if you saw a second printer in the list with the same name, or something like "Print to file"? I think I personally could fall for that under the right circumstances.

Putin couldn't care less about the support from some random programmers. Be realistic, what do you expect them to do? Take up arms? Protest and get imprisoned? Vote in the sham elections?

Targeting random civilians in hopes of political change is the strategy of terrorists.

So then you agree that there is no reason to be "glad" about this?

And how exactly is banning these contributors supposed to stop the invasion? These people have no control or culpability.

Why the password.trim()? Silently removing parts of the password can lead to dangerous bugs and tells me the developer didn't peoperly consider how to sanitize input.

I remember once my password for a particular organization had a space at the end. I could log in to all LDAP-connected applications, except for one that would insist my password was wrong. A trim() or similar was likely the culprit.

What will rehabilitate him depends on the perpetrator's psychology, not on how angry the crime makes you feel.

You completely missed the point.

Do you think people cannot collaborate without capitalism?

The best part of the fediverse is that anyone can run their own server. The downside of this is that anyone can easily create hordes of fake accounts, as I will now demonstrate.

Fighting fake accounts is hard and most implementations do not currently have an effective way of filtering out fake accounts. I'm sure that the developers will step in if this becomes a bigger problem. Until then, remember that votes are just a number.
