Oh for the love of the god I don’t believe in, by every measure this is an exceptional response relative to every other company dealing with unions being formed. Some of you were born to be unhappy.

edit: someone else replied here but I cannot see it. Sorry I apparently blocked you for being annoying or whatever.

I didn’t get any such impression from the Costco response. I got they were disappointed that one was considered necessary due to their management failure.

Marianne Williamson needs to have a seat. That response was classy because the Costco reps clearly said they were disappointed in themselves as management for dropping the ball, not in the workers who voted to be heard, and invited workers to talk to managers about concerns any time. The alternative reply she suggested didn’t include any such recognition of shortcomings by Costco.

Huh, I’ll definitely look into that. Both times I tried to route external pihole access, somehow other mystery services found it and it slowed to a crawl from getting absolutely pounded by requests not from me. Thanks for that tip!

Except that, as I’ve already mentioned, I have two piholes, and sometimes both will be receiving requests. Based on your description, the second would never receive requests as long as the first is online. Perhaps this is router dependent, but it’s what I’ve observed.

Pretty much. Not sure how the router determines which DNS to use, but mine seems to latch onto whichever one serves up results the fastest, which would inevitably be cloudflare direct after the pihole returns enough blocks.

So I use a Raspberry Pi Zero W as a dedicated pihole, and my Pi 4 seedbox acts as its own pihole and as a redundant backup. Then use gravity-sync from the Zero to the 4 to mirror the settings.

I have two piholes, and sometimes both will receive requests at the same time, if there’s a lot of traffic.

I would avoid it, as it may use the alternate instead of the pihole at anytime. If you want redundancy, it’s best to have a second pihole.

Oh you are right, that’s a very good point, I never thought about them skipping the photos because of masks.

A bit belated, but it occurred to me that maybe the card for a second family member doesn’t have a photo, or still has the main member’s photo. I always assumed that the second person would have to get their photo taken for the card but since I’ve never borrowed a card, and don’t have a second user, I wouldn’t know.

My costco card has my photo on it. Is that not a thing everywhere?

ikr? It’s always fanatical people. I clearly indicated that I don’t agree with his views or think any better of him. “Bare minimal credit” is a basic backhanded compliment that’s still an insult.
