Isn’t it the case that neither are good enough? Three were concerns about Canada before Pickett was starting, and the Lee were concerns about Pickett coming outing college and he was probably overdrafted.

Dude you just wrote a hell of a long post when the answers are simply i) a good OC left and was never replaced (literally for the first year), and ii) the roster isn’t as good as it was.
Nobody in their right mind would have thought he was a good choice to be a successful HC, which is how he would up at the Raiders.
