man.

i'm not saying you didn't run into quality posts on reddit, but this is the kind of post i see way more often here and it makes these spaces way more enjoyable.

nice work, definitely going to try a few of these out!

good call on kayak.

just tried it out by excluding MAX models of aircraft and it worked. unfortunately, that severely limits options, but hey, it's possible.

seems about right. at this point my plan is to buy a small bit of land somewhere and plop some modular/tiny homes on it and call it good. not that it's just that easy, but i'd rather try to find some resemblance of normalcy than play the rigged game.

yeah, being exposed to cigarette smoke is not ideal.

my issue with this law is that it feels immensely inconsistent: cars, and guns kill a huge amount of people per year. likely more than cigarettes, but i can't verify that rn. why not put some effort into those problems?

[–] misspacfic@lemm.ee 3 points 8 months ago

exactly.

many of the mundane atrocities being committed every day are deliberate choices in service of capital rather than people.

you know, health insurance companies, etc.

for work i have to have like 3 PDFs open, my IDE, a browser, etc.

it's nice being able just switch to a clean desktop to browse the internet or write an email without messing up my window placement or getting lost in a bunch of layers.

good. only problem with aldi is their produce is hit or miss. moreso than competitors in my experience.
