I stopped using emacs because I was spending more time in config files than actually doing anything useful

It’s not exactly weird, but I loved the giant “duke” controller for the og xbox. A lot of people hated it but I think it’s one of the most comfortable controllers ever made.

Very cool and very gross

OpenSuse is a good choice as long as you don’t need nvidia optimus support or anything for weird hardware

I’ve always used a multimeter and never had any problems with it

Yeah pretty much. When I dual booted I just had 2 drives and used the bios boot select

Windows has a habit of deleting grub when it updates. Idk if it is just bad Microsoft programming or intentional.

I like chiping in when I can. Now that I'm in college I can't spare too much. :(

Wow. My thinkpad t420 has 8 gigs, but that thing was made in 2011

I am actually using Firefox, I just mentioned chrome since that’s what most people and devs use.

I've never had a problem with

abcde -o flac

I love this band so much, every song from them is a banger.

I've been playing a lot of inscryption and while kaycee's mod is fun, it can get a little boring after a while. Is there anything that will scratch that itch? (that's not magic the gathering, too predatory).

Edit: Just bought slay the spire and it is really fun so far. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

Has anyone used it? What was your experience with install/performance? I'm thinking of getting one because it has decent specs for $250. I don't need banking apps or anything like that, and the only social media app I need is snapchat (I know that sort of defeats the purpose, but I just want better privacy, not perfect).

A new Rolling Stones album is coming in October!

Minimal Emacs? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I have been using vim for forever and I have dabbled in using emacs throughout the years. Emacs with the evil mode bindings is very comfortable, and I prefer org-mode over markdown (at least for the type of notes I do).

The main thing that stops me from using emacs though is how bloated it is. I don't want the games, web browser, email client, etc. Is there a way to remove those features from a standard install or from source?

Edit: I guess I'll stick with vim for now. It looks like Neovim might be more what I'm looking for instead of Emacs

A big band and rock mix with Mike Patton's amazing vocals

Prog death metal? Idk it's kinda like The Dillinger Escape Plan

Hi,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad gaming 3i with a gtx 1650, and I would like to find a more lightweight distro than PopOS that supports (or is easier to set up) nvidia optimus graphics. Any suggestions?
