This says it uses the battery from a polestar. So it's not lead acid but lithium. And 79kWh.

Project cars 3 in VR is pretty slick. I still think the gran Turismo franchise is tops. I wish there was a pc version or anything similar.

Why wait that long?

For real though I'd like a VR system (modern) that can use the steam store natively.

MRNA vaccines for cancer, HIV and others. Moderna clinical trials have been real good.

Imagine getting a cancer diagnosis, then 30 days later getting a tailored treatment that eliminated the cancer.

https://investors.modernatx.com/news/news-details/2022/Moderna-and-Merck-Announce-mRNA-4157V940-an-Investigational-Personalized-mRNA-Cancer-Vaccine-in-Combination-with-KEYTRUDAR-pembrolizumab-Met-Primary-Efficacy-Endpoint-in-Phase-2b-KEYNOTE-942-Trial/default.aspx

Also vote. Because one party system has decided to side with anti vaxxers. The other has not. Cancer numbers have been steadily rising, second only to heart disease as a cause of death. There is a solid chance you're going to get cancer.

You know, I think it's not as bad as this anymore. While one of the best convenient features of EVs is waking up to them charges every day, not having that and having to use public charging isn't necessarily different than having to get gas.

I do have EVs but I also have a motorcycle. I hate filling it up because where I live waiting in line for the pump is a 15 minute ordeal usually. The few times I've used public charging around here that's about how long it took for me to get it done.

My work does have chargers, but they are expensive so I don't use them.

Here's my point:

You have to charge roughly as often as you need to get gas. If you don't have access to a charger where you live it's still worth it because it's so much cheaper, even if it's slightly inconvenient. If you don't have fast chargers near you though I doubt this works.

I just went back and looked at my charging stats, and for two cars I'm averaging between $38-$42 / month since 2022.

Road trip supercharger costs are higher, averaging $14 per stop.

I've got bad news for you, it's not just EVs.

Man I would love that! Can we get an EV sports car too? FRS, Z car, Miata... Anything like that.

My toilet, a few times a day starts running water for a few seconds then stops. How do I fix it?

I'm happy to say, It's still alive and thriving. That is all.

Followup to why you should switch to Nobara Linux. Also, some scripts I’ve compiled for distro hopping the fedora flavors.

Anyone have a thought about why? Also Plex htpc non steam app won't launch suddenly. If I go to desktop mode they work fine

Videos don't seem to play but it seems to only be on lemmy.world instance. Even if the post doesn't originate from lemmy.world.

Hello all, I've been distro hopping a lot lately and have a long term goal of settling on one distro for the family laptops.

Currently it's a smattering of linux distro's and some M$ across all the systems in the house.

In short the fam has had a pretty negative reaction to Gnome for all the usual reasons, so there is a kubuntu instance, Nobara, but the KDE version, Manjaro etc... I kind of want to give Fedora a stint on my laptop and noticed the Fedora spins project and was wondering if anyone has played around with it at all?

I spun up the KDE version in a VM alongside the default Fedora and noticed it's running a newer kernel than the default, which is interesting...

Is it an equal partner in update cycles?

I wrote an article on my switch to Nobara Linux. I think this community might enjoy the journey.

I design functional artwork planters and an internet friend told me that Orchid planters kind of suck. They suggested I design one in my own style to apply some engineering and art to compliment the flower.

This is what I came up with.
