Left reddit when Sync stopped working. Been here ever since and I actually prefer it here anyway.

Reddit was and probably still is an echo chamber of bots and catch phrases. There were a few useful gems of information when you googled something, but now most of that content has become unreliable due to some people (like me) who salted and later deleted their comments before leaving.

Also Spez was a dick 🤷‍♂️

Why has nobody mentioned the huge canine teeth in that photo.

Chewing gum for dogs?

Exactly, it's all just smoke and mirrors.

"Hey, look over there while I do something under the table“

Thanks for the link.

In all my travels, in all the cafés, libraries, hotels and co-working spaces I've used around the world, never have I seen anyone pull out their own router.

I'm not dismissing it's potential or usefulness, I just think that for me to avoid adverts and to connect to a few streaming services from weird locations it might be a bit overkill.

💯 This is absolutely true. I'll look at Proton. Thank you so much

Appreciated, however I'm down to a 45 liter carry on bag now and I literally have no space to carry my own router around.

Much appreciated, thank you!

I travel full time, so I don't have my own internet connection.

Like I said it will be unpopular, but it's about to expire anyway.

A more helpful response would be to recommend an alternative

Probably not a popular choice, but my VPN comes with an ad blocker which works great.

I'm still using Nord VPN as I got an insane deal a few years ago. Now it has something called Threat Protection which blocks all ads whether on my desktop browsers or on mobile.

✨Edit to add: Yeah down vote me. Nord was a blackfriday deal from 3 years ago. Much has changed since then.

I travel full time and I'm now in the market for a new VPN provider. I don't have my own router.. I don't even have a home.

Instead of just down voting, perhaps come with some constructive ideas or suggestions, thank you! ✨

Unsure if this is the right place as it regards video, but here we go.

So I just tried out Adobe Firefly, uploaded a starting image (frame) and then proceeded to add a prompt. The result was kinda good 5sec video, but I literally only got 2 tries as a freebie.

My question is, is there any website I can use which doesn't charge $10 per month to create these mini movies?

Thanks in advance

Hello friends

I have a friend who makes space cake edibles

We use 20grams of weed in the butter which will make 20 slices of cake.. Essentially each slice contains and average of 1gram of weed.

The weed contains on average 12%THC

How many mg (milligrams) of THC is in each slice on average?

I believe it is 120mg THC per slice.

Can anyone confirm please?

Hi lemmings I am self employed and travel full time.

I work remotely and have a 2TB external drive which I work from, I sync some of those files to my google drive.

Later this year I will be in several African countries and my need for a full and complete backup is weighing heavy on my mind.

What I would like from a cloud service is to backup all my files remotely and then as I work on them locally from my local external drive they are then syncd back to the cloud. This essentially gives me one local copy and one cloud copy at all times.

Currently Google cloud gives me this, but I can't expand my storage due to my legacy GAFYD account.

Obviously price is a factor, but also being able to sync my local files is most important. I've looked at BackBlaze but I'm unsure which product category I fit into and if it would work for me, but I'm willing to try.

Any and all suggestions would be most helpful, thank you!

How would we go about asking say, Cpanel / Softaculous to have a one click install for lemmy? It's currently possible with many server applications and it would be awesome to have lemmy on that list

Hi everyone I'm in the market for a new web host.

Ideally the host should have a CPanel for dns, subdomains, sql etc etc etc and the possibility for a staging site is most desirable.

Shared Linux is fine. In the past I've used namecheap and 20i.

Any tips would be great, thank you!
