If near monopolies agree to rules sets with one another, they can effectively monopolize. That's why there are regulations in place to prevent that behavior but we're consistently seeing the lack of enforcement of those rules. Sure there are still other telecoms other than these two, but in the US each of the major telecoms are guilty of this sort of behavior, and while phone unlock is allowed they create unnecessary barriers to make it more difficult for consumers to do this, at the benefit of themselves. It's similar malicious compliance to providing an ability to cancel a subscription but making it difficult to do so for consumers so they give up trying.

Try to eat healthy and perform a minimal workout every day. Eat more fresh fruits or vegetables. It's quick to make a simple yogurt bowl with fruit and granola, or a salad with lean meat or chick peas. Start with a few push ups, crunches, reverse crunches, and at least a 30 minute walk. Small changes gradually will help you feel better with how you look and feel with a small time investment.

Near monopolies say monopolistic behavior is good for you and does not only benefit them. More bullshit at 11.

These are just my thoughts based on what I've read so far. Do what you will with it. This is just my general advice.

If you like a community on an instance, make friends on it. If you network with enough individuals that feel the same way about a community that you do, fork that community onto a new instance and carry on. I see others weighing in on too much control, not enough control, defederate, remove moderator or admin control from individuals that censor, ban, on lean one direction over another. You'll find these power dynamics are more prevalent or less prevalent depending on the instance you're on or communities your partipate in. If you feel strongly enough about it, be the change you want to see and determine what best course of action you should take that is within your power. Whatever you choose I hope you find or potentially create a community or instance that works best for you.

Convert the code into a holy relic that will be used to unlock the doors to the Redbox mausoleum we will build with the rest of the machines.

Only one way to find out 😃. It sounds like we think religious sludge porn will be the predominant genre for at least one redbox

I want to see one of these bad boys outside on someone's lawn next to their free literature box. Fill it with some DVDs and Blurays, let people take and add whatever they like, see what happens.

Write in Biden on the ballot anyways, take a picture, print it out and leave it on his windshield like an advertisement for him to rage at, then fill the entire flatbed with Dark Brandon merch, record his reaction, and send it to him later so he'll know what a grown toddler having an eternal temper tantrum looks like. Create a Truth Social account and upload it to there for extra credit.

Agreed. Unfortunately this is what happens when you attach dollar amounts to key performance indicators for effectiveness with policing. Fines = revenue for government so they try where they can. It's why carpool lanes are so heavily policed here. The base fine rate is higher.

The US has had a long history of restricting who gets to vote. Originally it was only white land owning males, then it has gradually progressed into what it is today. Some states are cool with who gets to vote, others are still upset there are certain groups of people who get to vote who they wish didn't (and actively work towards restricting or removing their rights), so those upset states constantly create as many barriers as possible to disenfranchise groups of voters they don't like. If you'd like to see how awful it has been before, I suggest reading about Jim Crow laws.

If it was just a traffic ticket you can hire a traffic lawyer for fairly cheap if you don't want to go to court or would like the comfort of someone there for you who does this often. In CA, I've seen this typically cost around $50 for handling a traffic ticket. They can get most tickets dismissed or at the very least the fine reduced. If a cop no shows it gets dismissed.

Best to get it renewed asap though as previous commenters suggested, then it becomes a non-issue, so a trip to the DMV might be a good idea. I'd head your DMV website since the address varies depending on the state you're in. Renewing a REAL ID may require you take a short refresher course and provide two documents that prove residency, one that proves identity (US Passport, previous license, SSA card, etc) they'll tell you what you need on there though.

I'd sure like to hear people being allowed to pee in something that isn't a bottle while being forced to deliver, or not being crushed by automation in warehouses for starters.
