I manually searched for the SteamDB and ProtonDB links for this game on Google, copied the link, selected the "SteamDB" text in the comment textbox and pasted with the Ctrl+V shortcut. Same with game name. Lemmy did Markdown itself 🙃

~~i use arch btw~~

It was more of a joking question 😅 It's a shame that such a good, lightweight and secure programming language is not used. It's not even in the top 20 😔

Hi, I am planning to purchase a 2.5-inch HDD. If I connect it to my computer using a SATA to USB adapter instead of directly to the computer's SATA, can it somehow affect the result of this scan?

I apologize for my ignorance but I couldn't find an answer to this question anywhere

The author of the fork declares 100 percent compatibility with the original project's database. As you move, the database structure will be changed (new fields will be added) to be compatible with the fork, but it will still also be compatible with the original project (which simply will not use these new fields).

I used conduwuit for a long time and it seemed very stable. Now I don't host my server anymore because my friend hosts his own server and lets me use it, so I have an account on his server.

The original developer is trying to do things slowly and stay with older versions of the dependencies, while the author of the fork is of the opinion that the dependencies should be updated to the latest versions and take advantage of their capabilities (such as performance improvements) which does not necessarily please the original author.

In addition, new features are implemented in the fork that are not present in the original project, because the author of the fork is pushing for rapid development (which doesn't mean it's a bad thing)

👽

More specifically, the HP T640 device.

The manufacturer declares compatibility with CL22 latency and 2400 MHz clocking. If I buy RAM with CL17 and 2400 MHz clocking, will it work?

Photo for attention

Hello,

Today my washing machine completely broke down. My parents desperately tried to get it working, but it resulted in the circuit breakers tripping and my server (an old Dell Wyse thin client) experiencing a hard power off.

When I tried to turn it back on, I received these errors on the screen.

I ran a memtest, and it completed without any issues. I also created a disk image backup just in case.

Is there any chance of getting this machine running again, or is it only fit for utilization?

I noticed that Quad 9 is not able to respond to the spy.pet query:

$ dig spy.pet @9.9.9.9 +short
;; communications error to 9.9.9.9#53: timed out

But Cloudflare DNS is able to do it:

$ dig spy.pet @1.1.1.1 +short
104.26.0.165
104.26.1.165
172.67.74.73

And to be sure, I checked another domain with the same TLD to rule out the option that Quad9 is unable to handle the .pet TLD, but I received a correct answer...

$ dig hello.pet @9.9.9.9 +short
3.64.163.50

Does Quad9 censor DNS queries?

It seems that the Steam app only supports with X11 (and with Wayland, I need to use xwayland to run it).

How can I enable native wayland support? And if I can't, is there perhaps a mod or alternative steam client that will enable me to do so?

Edit: this may be relevant: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/4924

Hi, everyone!

For several years, I've relied on NextCloud as a substitute for Google services. The time has come to say goodbye and move on in life. I've decided to replace my NextCloud instance with separate services for files, calendar, photos, notes, and to-do lists.

I've already found alternatives for all services, except for the calendar.

Does anyone have experience with FOSS projects that would allow me to self-host a calendar? I'm looking for something that supports CalDAV, has its own (pretty) user interface (webui), caters to multiple users, and supports multiple calendars.

And if anyone is interested in the alternatives I've found for each NextCloud component, here's the list:

NextCloud Files -> File Browser NextCloud Notes -> Joplin NextCloud Photos -> Immich NextCloud Tasks -> Vikunja NextCloud Calendar -> ???___

Edit:

In the end, I used Radicale software. I deployed it in a docker container and it worked almost right out of the box.

The author examined the distribution of instances in the fediverse. Given that many instances are hidden behind CDNs like Cloudflare or Fastly, the author employed ActivityPub's functionality to discover the actual hosting locations of servers. More than half (51%) of the fediverse is hosted within a single hosting company. The author suggests that the fediverse hosted mostly with a few major providers, deviates from its initial objectives.
