Fucking right it should be, the triopoly is not working with the interest of the average Canadian. My small town the best wired internet I can get is 10/5 Mbps. Just moved from a small city 30 min away and they have a standard 1.5 Gbps and we're looking to upgrade to 3 Gbps right before I moved

Am currently on a wireless 20/10 Mbps with a 400 GB cap. Yet the fibre connections get UNLIMITED bandwidth.

Oh and that 10/5 connection also costs more than fibre...

Fuck the tropoly

FreeAin't no one stealing my shit, even via internet to upload 40tb would take 1 year 5 days at max speed in actuality it would be 1 year 8 months.... Fuck I miss my 1.5G fibre connection....

My PC weighs 80+ lbs, live 8km from town, surrounded by farm land and there are only 3,400 in town and I live 30 min from a city of 40,000 and 40 min from another city of 70,000 and my internet is 20/10 mbps

Stuff like this is a bit more believable. Still will be more than a decade before we will see any benefit. First all of the sea cables would get the upgrade, then private companies (banks mainly), then governments (military and such), ISPs will prolly not touch it for as long as possible till governments force em.
