I know that, I just didn't think they'd go as far as to make a sliding scale of punishing wages for teachers who don't comply.

Wow, that's disgraceful.

Funny how much "Agenda47" sounds similar to "Project2025"....

Also, "Merit Based Pay"?! AFAIK there is currently a teacher shortage and this dumbass thinks people are going to abide by a, no doubt, asinine rulebook to make a crappy wage in relation to the schooling required?

That was just bizzare.

Can you think of the leader of any other country where that would slide? I mean, not even Boris would have been that crass. Even keeping it within the States, is there a past president who would have?

It really made me think of elderly flashers, who act that way because they have degenerative neurological disorders associated with age.

What @SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world said

It does state the source of the article though (this one says The Independent UK), and you can click the 'jump to' icon to go the proper site-- but it won't be at the proper article, just the main page.

But just in general-- If my query returns a lot of MSN hijack links, I just go back and put -MSN in the search.

Edit: screen of page

pointing out where the jump button is with a red circle. It's in the top right corner

Jokes aside-- Fuck Bezos. I hope him and Musk get their just desserts.

We had what, three, referendums about it and people voted against it every time. It's mind-boggling.

Voters were asked whether they would prefer to keep the existing first-past-the-post system or move to one of three forms of proportional representation.

I found the article from the last one, if anyone is interested: CBC article

I am beyond relieved that the NDP stayed in :D

Lol, WTF? Why is this bot's font getting bigger/bolder?

Poor wee robot-- yelling won't make your comments more visible through all the downvotes.

Edit: two days ago you were more polite:

The woman who had no issue lunching with Putin in 2015 after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014? The woman whose current position is for not providing Ukraine with monetary/military assistance?

That's not a good record on genocide.

Oh yay, I get to post the new image I found the other day!

Image: Cartoon woman smiling, wearing headphones. Labelled "YOU".

Man smiling, bent over in background with tube up butthole that leads to headphones. Labeled: The Joe Rogan Experience.

I'm unfamiliar with this news site, but they must know they have to do better on sources, because this sounds like reporting on rumours.

"Several social media users, including commentators and reporters..." (emphasis mine).

Interesting that the right is already accusing them of potentially using deepfakes in the future. Maybe they know of something captured in video, or maybe random blanket statements of innocence are necessary with a knob end like Trump.

I also hope no one was victimized.

Wayyy past the number of corporate billionaires I'd be comfortable having in politics, and for them to go from lobbying in the background to centre stage is worrying.
