Yeah it's ridiculous how bad they're abusing their employees and the salaries are pretty poor as well from what I've heard.

Some drones used for racing are crazy fast these days.

Average speed of 165.2MPH / 265.87kmph with a fastest oneway top speed of 179.78mph.

This happened in international airspace. Doesn't matter what the body of water is called. The entirety of the gulf of Mexico doesn't belong to Mexico either. Nor does the Indian ocean belong to India.

Also the China Sea was originally named by the Portuguese.

It's kinda hard imagining Apple getting into search with how squeaky clean they tend to be about things. Like... picture an Apple search engine returning porn results. Just doesn't really compute.

That gets pretty murky if we're talking about non resident aliens and also considering how out of wack the current Supreme Court is.

Yeah I would agree that basically packing the court or waiting out more retirements from right wing judges is about the only realistic path forward, and like you're saying that could take decades.

People in these kinds of discussions being like "WHY CAN'T WE CHANGE THIS OVERNIGHT?" really ought to better inform themselves of how this stuff works. It's not that simple.

Yeah I fall fairly solidly into the left side of the political spectrum, but I think it's fine for any country to tell someone seeking a visa to fuck off when you find out that their twitter history is full of them posting pro ISIS memes. Hard pass, my guy.

The one point about this that I find problematic is that a policy like this is all fine and well until the wrong people get in charge of determining what sort of content is grounds for rejection.

And in that context, this article is pretty timely.

Well nothing you're saying is going to happen. So again, feel free to explain to me how – realistically – people are going to manage to change the 2nd amendment.

Bonus points for doing it without name calling this time.

An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

Altering the constitution is an extremely tall order in today's US politics. It hasn't been done successfully in over 30 years and the one prior to that was over 50 years ago.

The Republicans can barely even vote in a house speaker right now when they have the required majority to do so. Good luck getting a change to the 2nd amendment through. It's just not going to happen.
