Systems based on perverse incentives to exploit human and natural resources will blame anything and everything than themselves

There’s no such thing as Judeo-Christian vision for the founding of America.

People need to take back their lives from fascists and their false narratives.

I am specifically bringing up Islam because of loony loomers Islamophobia.

The Founders of this nation explicitly included Islam in their vision of the future of the republic. Freedom of religion, as they conceived it, encompassed it. Adherents of the faith were, with some exceptions, regarded as men and women who would make law-abiding, productive citizens. Far from fearing Islam, the Founders would have incorporated it into the fabric of American life.

Ideally, America should be a secular nation with freedom to practice any faith in personal life.

All media companies need to be held responsible for not doing due diligence against the spread of disinformation. Disinformation is currently the main tool enemies of different nations are using against each other

Edit to make the statement more general

There was some good news for Trump though—many of his campaign’s points of attack against Harris and the Biden administration appeared to connect with voters, with 47 percent saying he prioritizes a good climate for business (compared to 37 percent for Harris) and 43 percent saying he would prioritize lowering the cost of household goods (compared to only 36 percent for the Democratic nominee).

Harris needs to speak at a fourth grade level without sounding condescending. Are people even listening, or are they dumb? It’s probably the latter, but it’s not their fault they’re dumb. There are well-oiled propaganda machines making fools of us all.

What’s the rule for keeping money from your crimes?

God, people like him are the fucking worst because they have endless resources but their incompetence just keeps getting in their own way. Regulations are not your problem, it’s your inability to understand complex situations and lack of capacity to come up with solutions. So unless dumbass gets a perfect world, he can’t do shit. We already went to the fucking moon using slide rulers, fuck off with your loser whining.

Dollars to donuts Republicans are smuggling in violent criminals themselves

Miller is not a sharp mind, he couldn’t flexibly come up with a response to a changing situation and resorted to bullying, which didn’t work either

The reporter wasn’t even that sharp or clever either, which again tells you what you need to know about Miller, he would be mid-level manager somewhere if not for his luck

So they fixed the electoral college, and they know victory is all but certain. That’s why they came up with the most cruel and despicable lie so that when Trump wins, despite losing the debate, progressives and leftists and sane people will be heartbroken and soul shattered.

This is how you know the electoral college is fixed, they have no fear of repercussions

Rich donors who don’t want EU like welfare states in the U.S.

The turnout in swing states wasn’t enough

meanwhile evangelicals made the pragmatic decision to vote for Trump, the least christian man in the whole GOP, because he furthers their anti-abortion agenda. I

Conservatives get abortions as soon as their own daughters get pregnant. They’re consummate hypocrites. Voting republican has always been about keeping workers deprived of rights and wage increases. No conservative gives a shit about the culture war stuff. The culture war is and has always been a distraction from creating welfare states like in EU.

Clinton beat trump in every debate, it’s all about voter turnout man

[–] nifty@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

But undecided voters need to think of their pocketbooks tho

It’s in the news cycle though 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know, it’s too soon to call it. We’re not even at the October surprise yet, probably Vance is getting replaced. Harris win depends on voter turnout

If depression is the emotional expression of the immobilization response, then the solution is to move out of that state of defense. Porges believes it is not enough to simply remove the threat. Rather, the nervous system has to detect robust signals of safety to bring the social state back online. The best way to do that? Social connection.

For people who don’t prefer social connection, I’ve seen that exercise works well

Edit: just want to highlight that polyvagal theory, the main point behind this article, is unsubstantiated thus far

Secret Service agents rushed former President Donald Trump off the stage after he fell to the ground at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Loud bangs were heard before Trump fell. Agents then helped him stand, and he had blood on his face. He was yelling back to the crowd and raised his fist. He was then taken to a vehicle and evacuated from the scene.
