I think the focus on “green” is distracting, and they should focus on working class woes first

The Dems need to implement the Nordic Model of economic and social policies in the U.S., it’s not that hard outside of removing oversized lobbying influence on U.S. politics

Pelosi’s response kinda proves that the DNC is just the other side of the shit coin running the funhouse arcade game of American democracy

Bit more than that, it’s maybe the end of American influence in the world because the neocon 3.0 agenda will bring intense economic strife and social suffering. The environmental and regulatory policies will lead to infrastructure deterioration and polluted air, water etc. The health policies will lead to a weak and sick population. The rich and upper middle class will live in Nordic countries or Europe, as they mostly already do, where they will enjoy the social policies that they deprive Americans of. Most talent will likely go to other countries. But I seriously hope I am wrong.

Tbh, this is all a fucking distraction from the class war that the oligarchs are winning without competition. And what a distraction it is! The cure to all these ills is higher taxes on the wealthy, but I don’t think any of those reforms are going to be remotely possible now lol

This seems like a crypto project, or something that will eventually be used to train bad AI. I’d be wary

God bean counters ruin everything good related to tech

Yeah but people definitely get influenced by the media reporting and the red states with earlier closing polls, it makes it seem like Trumps winning but it’s a toss up. A toss up is easy to influence if all you show is one side getting more electoral votes.

Whoops a knee jerk reaction, my bad

Democrats present a weak front against strongmen opponents and are surprised when they lose voters who don’t trust the Dems to protect them from autocrats

Reposting because the last one got auto-mod removed 😭

Summary is basically that Republican presidents have historically been worse for the economy! How the hell do people believe the opposite!?

Previous thread got restored! Thanks !jordanlund 🫡

People need to get out and vote!

Some reports say 9 dead. I saw somewhere that 72 was the max number of tornadoes within a short time period. Anyone know if these tornadoes are setting a record?

All the racist stuff and culture war BS is a distraction. Economists studied the data and found republicans are bad for the economy, which is what everyone who’s lives through their policies would tell you. They help out their wealthy donors, which is why they get the “good for economy” label but that’s a lie and myth.

Many analyses look at which party is best for the economy. A study from the National Bureau of Economic Research found that Democratic presidents since World War II have performed much better than Republicans. On average, Democratic presidents grew the economy by 4.4% each year versus 2.5% for Republicans.

Republicans are just bad at running the country on so many levels.

Funny how some people will pretend this is a deal breaker while they lie to themselves everyday that Trump is a fit for office

Systems based on perverse incentives to exploit human and natural resources will blame anything and everything than themselves

There’s no such thing as Judeo-Christian vision for the founding of America.

People need to take back their lives from fascists and their false narratives.

I am specifically bringing up Islam because of loony loomers Islamophobia.

The Founders of this nation explicitly included Islam in their vision of the future of the republic. Freedom of religion, as they conceived it, encompassed it. Adherents of the faith were, with some exceptions, regarded as men and women who would make law-abiding, productive citizens. Far from fearing Islam, the Founders would have incorporated it into the fabric of American life.

Ideally, America should be a secular nation with freedom to practice any faith in personal life.
